This pleasant cottage is right in the centre of the town and convenient for the shops, restaurants, quay and harbour. It is positioned at right angles to the terrace of cottages in Union Place - named after the Act of Union between England & Scotland in 1707.
From outside a stable door leads directly into the slate floored Sitting/Dining Room, with Colour TV, Video, DVD and working open fireplace, The Dining area has a reclaimed cushioned chapel pew with chairs around a large mahogany table that comfortably seats 4/6. Leading off from the Dining area is the tiny Kitchen, tiled again in slate. The very compact kitchen has a low ceiling but is fully fitted with Sink Unit, 4-ring gas Hob and electric Oven [with Grill], Microwave, Fridge, Washer/Drier, kettle, toaster etc.
Stairs from the Dining area lead to the half landing where there is a cupboard above the stairs containing the gas-fired Boiler which supplies central heating and hot water [including to shower] throughout the cottage. A pitch pine door opens into the Bathroom with cubicle power shower, vanity unit, low flush W C and heated Towel Rail.
A further three stairs takes you to the main first floor landing with pitch pine doors to Bedroom 1 with a King Size Bed. and Bedroom 2 with a set of 3’ Bunk Beds - the lower one set direct on a slatted platform not raised off floor.
From this bedroom there is an open tread set of steps up and into the Attic Bedroom with Twin Beds - note this room is within the roof and has sloping ceilings with exposed beams [low headroom over some parts of the bed] and skylight windows.
