The highlights of the season are Fowey Regatta Week [August - fireworks, the Red Arrows (most years), Carnival etc.] and Polruan Regatta [Summer Bank Holiday - “family” events and Carnival]. Other Carnivals and Festivals at various times in surrounding towns - see leaflets in the TIC and local press.
Within easy access is the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and various historical places and country houses to visit – Lanhydrock, Restormel Castle, Pencarrow, etc.
Fowey has a large variety of Restaurants including meals being available in most Pubs. Polruan has two Pubs both of which do meals. There is a Tea Rooms in both Fowey and Polruan . Polruan has a general store and Fowey a general store, fishmonger, butcher and baker.
In your holiday property you will find a folder with details on some of the many Tourist Attractions within reach of Fowey on a day trip - something to cater for most tastes and ages.
